Created exclusively for the London A Cappella Festival 2012, visionary A Cappella fan Annemarie Homan came up with a plan to gather singers that are coming to the festival on their own using the Internet to put up a group together that could actually perform. The award-winning choir Vasari Singers, and the award-winning Swingle Singers, are appearing together live on stage for the first time to open the 2012 London A Cappella Festival at Kings Place, London, on Thursday 12 January 2012.

The first annual London A Cappella Festival will take place January 13-16, 2010 at King's Place. Curated by the Swingle Singers, featured groups include Stile Antico, VOCES8, the London Adventist Chorale, Oxford University's Out of the Blue and the Gargoyles, barbershop champions Evolution, and many others.
